Slipping clutch after turbo?

Recently turbod my crx, d15b2->mpfi->t25. intercooled, 450s, hack, bov, stock clutch.

I've been driving it around for a few days now. I noticed when I hold the pedal down, whether i stomp on it or go easy, after it spools up the tach just shoots up (flares) really fast. It shoots up from about 4k to 7k as if i have a lightweight flywheel, then it just stays at about 7000rpm for a few seconds before hits fuel cutoff. When it flares it doesnt feel like it's pulling that hard at all. You guys think it's a slipping clutch? any other ideas? tia

yeah just tried your trick. shot straight up. tried it a bit later and it grabbed fine. Im guessing it's just worn down and the pressure plate/disc doesnt like to grab when cold. thanks
