Default Slim fan on SMIC. Will it work?

I'm planning on putting my SMIC inside the fender well, like this: http://www.puchare.com/tech/smic/index.html

Will putting a slim pusher fan on there help lower my temps significantly?
I'm also gotta try to route some piping from the the bumper or something so it can get some clean air in.

btw, I have a 97 EX EJ8.

I also just thought of putting a scoop under the car to direct air into the fender well... Has this been done b4? Would it work?

Only problems I see may be lack of air flow under the car (from what I've seen in wind tunnel testing) and of course kickin up dirt and rocks into the fan/smic...

Any thoughts?

imo its more work than its worth depending on how much power you're hoping to make

~200 whp on a Stock D16y8 with a Nissan T25.

I wanna get the most reliable power I can out of it without upgrading the internals.

I have several reasons I don't want a FMIC. That's not something I'm interested in doing at the moment.

it will work just like liek all the MR2s. I would wire up the fan with a tempeture controlled switch just so that it doesn`t always turn on

Anyone know where I can get a fan to fit on a 1g DSM SMIC? I've read it's 8x6 so I was look for a 6". But i don't think that's very popular...
