Slide Carb Turbo

Heres a new one...
i have a 74 MG and a TE04 turbo sitting on the shelf. The car has a dual HS2 slide carbs. i would like to install the turbo but have it as a rear mount. I know I will loose pressure but this is a small engine to begin with. My question does anyone have experience with turbo-ing slide cabrs? Do I need to pressurinze the entire carb or just force induce them.

slide carbs > float carbs, i'm not sure about boost-wise though.

I don't know about slide carbs , but I did a blow through on my turbo corvair. T04E..ect.

I re-inforced the floats with thin brass rod , blocked off all the vaccum ports and that was it.

Some guys doing the same with V8's would buid a box around the whole carb.

I wouldn't worry about lag, I'd worry about getting the fuel setup right.
I think you'll end up boxing in the carbs or going to a draw-through setup.

If you're not going to box in the carb, you're going to have to raise fuel pressure with boost and maybe deal with other internal issues.. A wideband would be required.

Look at maserati Bi Turbo's , they had a really neat RRFPR setup and also ran box'd carbs

The RRFPR's can be had for about $60 new... can't remember where I saw the onthe net , but they are out there.
