Default Sleeper turbo question?

I was wondering if you could mount a turbo farther down in the exhaust system such as where the cat is so that the turbo will not be visible. I have seen this done on a camaro but I was wondering if anyone has done this. I know I will have to fabricate a pipe to go to my intake and also I will have to make longer oil lines. But I was wondering besides clearance under the car what problems would I run into. I am up for suggestions so be critical so that I can decide on what to do. Also what kind of problems do you think that I will run into. Thanks

James

The big problem I see is your oil return, usually it works off gravity, that's why turbos usually sit higher on the engine bay, so the oil can return back to the oil pan gravity forced. I guess there could be a way of mountibg some type of oil pump to get the oil back to the engine, but it doesn't sound practical. I have also seen that video of the camaro with the turbo mounted under the car. I don't know how they did it, but it just sounds a little dumb to me. People might not be able to SEE the turbo but they can alway HEAR it, no matter where it is mounted.

If you want to be a sleeper just don't pop your hood. Don't sacrifice performance to "hide" a turbo. And also, even if you put the turbo in a box in your trunk and got it to work, I would still be able to tell you had a turbo in 2 seconds.
