size question
i have mixed opinions on this. i have a .48 ford used t3. you think its enough to supply 2.5L up to 6250rpm's?
if so i am about to be boosted really quickly. albeit only 3-4 psi for a month or so, until i get the money for injectors and a tune.

Re: size question
i am basically copying big j's spec v build.. it will handle up to 4 psi on the stock tune @ 12:1 afr's. his was not a fluke, there are a couple others that have duplicated it.
the main reason i am in a hurry to just get it on there, is to get these shitty, exploding cat convertors off of this car, before it eats one. this is my 3rd spec v and the first on ate the cat before i got it home to alabama from pennsylvania. the second ate it about a month after i got it. i am being very ------- cautious with this one. plus 4psi is good for 13's, not bad for a couple hundred bucks.
i guess i need to go to the classifieds and find a t3/t4..........

Re: size question
Nah, that T3 won't be anywhere near big enough....I had a .63/.60 T3 that I had originally planned to use on my car, but was advised to go bigger(by J)...I do think that turbo would be fun on the QR25 because it would spool up hella quick, and its good for right at 300hp, so I guess it all depends on what kinda power you are looking to make...My t3/t4 .50 trim has my wastegate open before 3k rpms, it has the 7.25psi spring, and I'm seeing 6-6.5 on my gauge...

Re: size question
You're gonna catch hell getting 12's out of these cars. Be prepared to spend some $$$. The power isn't hard to make, but traction is hard to come by. Be careful boosting the car with stock injectors(it's doable, just be careful) and keep out of boost until you can get a tune. Your just gonna need something to control your injectors duty cycle(apexi AFC is the most common and simple solution AT THIS TIME) and wideband O2 sensor and reader.
