i was looking at a tbird turbo but it has slight side to side shaft play and was wondering if it is worth $200?

 

$200 is a lot to pay for a turbo that has shaft play. It really depends on how good of shape the turbo is in. But if its off a t-bird it probably has like 100,xxx miles on it unless it was rebuilt but probably not.

ok thanx, ive being goin through hmt,h-t,ebay,dsm, thepartstrader and even thru some junkyards searching for a t3 60/63...but is there any other classifieds i should looking thru also..i was bout to pick myself up a grand national turbo but found out it has a 3 bolt flange

 

If there is a pick your part around you I would say thats your best bet for finding a turbo.dont give up.It takes time to find a good one.I wouldnt(and I didnt) pay more than 80 bucks for a used turbo in good shape.....good luck.

can i buy just any t3 but upgrade it to a 60/63
