should there be pressure
 
should there be presure when the car is at idle (running) when you take off the oil cap on the valve cover ?when i took my cap off and put my hand over the oil cap hole there was presure coming out the reason i askj is because i have this nocking noise coming from that side of the motor im only runing 6psi-7psi i took a screw driver put it up against the block while it was running and listen though the screw diriver to here if there was any noise but everything sounded fine would a aftermaket cam gear make a noise? i dont no what to do i checked everthing all the belts are good its running fine not lean or rich except when im boosting it runs rich from the reading of my a/f gauge under accleration its its rich about 3 bars on the gas. fine? but any how i is there presure when my oil cap is off ????????? wtf any ideas

Blow by is generally caused by worn piston rings, worst case scenario broken ring lands or a hole in your piston/s. The knocking may be a rod bearing. Aftermarket cam gears will not cause knocking. Unless installed incorrectly and valves are contacting the pistons. If this was the case you would have heard a more pronounced knock. More like a bang.
