Should i v-tec the D14?
hello everyone.
i know that this was done before.... but will it be worth the effort on my D14? i can get a head in a good condition for a good price. (dont know from which engine yet) my current setup is: volvo .42 .48 log manifold 2"charge pipes cca fmic 2.5 DP D16z6 IM. (i might slap a b16 62mm tb on it) p28+crome engine bay wired for vtec and everything. the d14 is stock. 9.1 cr both valves are 58.70 mm thanks |
Re: Should i v-tec the D14?
wait...your running a chipped p28 but your not running a vtec head? :S I say screw it and not worth the hassle.

Re: Should i v-tec the D14?
i think it might be a good idea.. cause the stock flow of the engine is too low to gain some good hp at the cost of what u've done so far. with a d16z6 head your stock hp would be around 110 hp instead of 90 so same amount of boost would result a better result. it's something i've been considering on doing but you know i'm too lazy for this :)

[/quote] So is it a 8v head? If so I say go for it, more flow= more power. Steven, |
