Default should i rebuild?

first off, this is a great site. second, i have a few questions. i own a 1992 acura integra gs, 5spd, with 176,*** miles on it. i keep good care of it, oil change, plugs, blah balh. it runs fine as far as i can tell, no hesitation, no stalling. i want to turbo it this winter and need to know if i should rebuild the motor? im not going for all out power, i just want to do a simple turbo since it is my first try. then when i learn more and have some hands on experience i will go all out. im sure i can do all the work my self, just need to know if it does need a rebuild, how extensive? just new stock pistons and rings, of all new valve train, or all new bottom end, or all of the above. any help is great, and thank you in advanced.

Do a compression test with a compression tester. Anything over 150 in all cylinders is good to go. Tune well to 10psi and it should be fun for a long time.

go uberdata. im gathering my parts for my turbo and have been playing with uber. not to hard to understand, curious how well it works though. Give it a try, there are plenty of FAQs on how to make a good basemap

I didn't bother with a comp test...somethings are better left unknown because all I knew was that I wanted to boost it. I figure if it runs ok and burns no oil than you're good to go. :P

92 GS....obd1 LS...uberdata for tuning.

also, do a comp test if you want to see how the motor sits before you boost, but I'd say if it runs fine and doesn't burn oil, go for it.
