Shaft play after rebuild???
I just had my t3 turbo rebuilt and sat it on the shelf when i recieved it as happy as can be ;D I come back to it for the install and check it out, it has noticeable shaft play in/out side/side just as it did before :-\ Is this how a rebuilt turbo feels? i thought it would be tight and may have the littlest bit of play for oil but not this much. What do you all think?

Re: Shaft play after rebuild???
It should not have the same shaft play as before the rebuilt. I rebuilt mine myself, and I could notice the difference in tightness when I was done. Contact the person/shop that rebuilt it for you and discuss the issue with him/them.

Re: Shaft play after rebuild???
There should be no in and out play and very little side to side as there will be a bit for the clearance in the bearings.Do not install it send it back.
