serious white smoke problem

so today i took of my turbo to put a new actuator on and when i put it back on my car it started smoking alot of white smoke even at idle, i did have to lossen the bolts on the compressor to get the actuator off, the car seems to idle and run fine jsut a rediculous amount of smoke is comming out. i also had to take my radiator out to get my manifold out and when i put it back in i didint have any coolint so i put water in it for know till i can get some coolint.

i just noticed that there is a big kink in my oil return line that i think is blockin the oil from draining would that cause it to smoke, im pretty sure its no the headgasket because i was drivin the car earler today and it didint smoke one bit until i took my turbo off and and put it back on,it started smoking the second i turned it on after putting ,y turbo back on.

Yes a kinked oil return line would cause oil to back up into the turbo and be burned off through the exhaust. I ruined a T3 turbo the same way. However, you stated it was white smoke, oil is usually a blueish white. I'd fix the return line, and see if that solves the problem. Might take a little while to burn off any excess oil left in the exhaust.

Get the kink out and see if it smokes. I'm sure that was the problem.
