sensor on intake.
my charge piping doesnt have a hole in it for the sensor that goes in there. can i take hose from the intake mani and put it on the sensor or can i take it from my pre turbo? which is better?

Re: sensor on intake.
you mean the iat sensor? no, it won't work putting it on a vacuum line :P just drill a hole in your charge piping and put some jb weld around the hole and stil the sensor in it, voila!

Re: sensor on intake.
Id put it in the turbo inlet. You dont want it to read the high temps of the turbo

Re: sensor on intake.
what i did is wrap it around tape so it wont read the high temps,i hope when i make it obd1 it would be okay

Re: sensor on intake.
I don't think wrapping it in tape is gonna do ---- ^-^

Re: sensor on intake.
YOU WANT IT TO BE AS CLOSE TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AS POSSIBLE so it gets a true reading of your actual iat's, if you mount it pre turbo, it will be reading totally different temps than what is actually going in to the intake manifold. just drill a hole and jb weld it in ;)

Re: sensor on intake.
if your ems doesn't have IAT correction you can just let it dangle in the engine bay and it won't do much of anything so long as it's plugged in to the harness.
