Seafoam
I was wondering if you could use seafoam with a turbo'd car. I've done it before and i really liked the results, and i'm thinking that after i dyno tune my car it would probably be a good idea to remove the 4389 lbs of carbon deposits i probably have inside my engine from running stupid rich. Any ideas?

Re: Seafoam
If you want to go the home made route, you can just get on the highway and stay in boost for 10-15 minutes.
That should clean everything right out ;D |

Re: Seafoam
Done what? Seafoam or the long time in boost?
I've sea foamed my engine twice. I know guys who do it on a monthly basis. When I first bought my car, it was getting about 24-26mpg at best. After seafoam I was up over 30mpg. It cleans carbon out really well. If you really want to get a really good all round treatment, buy two or maybe even three cans of it. One in the intake, one in the fuel tank, and one in the valve cover. |
