anyone know if these http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...item1c0ed334e1 , veggie oil pumps will work as a scavenge pump for a turbo? specs are 260 ga/hr at 60 psi. 35 ft max lift. and since it can pump vegetable oil (the stuff to make biodiesal) i think it will work, im just wondering if it will hold up under continuos strain and high temp oil. here are the specs off the auction.

Ask the seller. These pumps are usually designed for ambient temp fluids.

 

Looks like a decent fuel pump if you ask me.

I did a google search for "ss 12v marine utility pump", and found the same pump for 39.99 @ harbor Freight..
Ebay seller also appers to have quoted some of the specs of the 300w pump it shares a manual with. The book calls it a utility water pump with no mention of oil.
The pdf file of the manual can be downloaded from the harbor freight site.
most of the bilge pumps i have seen max temp specs. for where way to low, around 140deg or so.

 

looked at the specs from harbor freight and it seems like it wont work. not designed for continous use. not to be used with corrosive oils. not to be used with flammable liquids. thanks for the help.
