Re: Is It Safe
10psi is pushing the stock MAP sensor.
There is no way to tell what your motor will take. 10psi is getting up there for a stock motor. Do a compression check, how many miles, pull the pan and inspect the bottom end. |
Re: Is It Safe
bottom end looked good....compression i am not sure of right at the time......so what do i do about the map sensor
|
Re: Is It Safe
im running 12 on a motor that's never been cracked open.. 10 psi should be fine on a good tune i'd imagine
|
Re: Is It Safe
Ive heard stock honda MAP sensors are only good for 11PSI MAX. you can buy other ones, but more than 10psi on a stock guts and your probably look for trouble. but thats just my 2 cents

Re: Is It Safe
there are plenty of people running 10 psi with the stock map sensor

Re: Is It Safe
Honda MAP sensors are 1.8bar sensor, meaning good about 11.8 PSI. But guys boost 15psi on tem all day long sometimes. Mine took 11psi all day for a while.

Re: Is It Safe
Nope, not a clue. I've spiked right up to 20psi before, no code, A few times with a shitty mbc I would spike a little high 14-15psi and the car wouldd just act like a fuel cut.
