Is the saab t3 enough?...

i have a saab t3 .42/.48...im in the process of completing the kit and
my plan was to use the saab t3...a couple of guys i know have used
this turbo before and i have tested their cars...the turbo spools up
fast but runs out of breath before redline(their setup was on a stock ls...
which is the same path im going...)but i wanted to know if the .60/.63 or
tbird/300zx/svo/mustang turbo would at least give me power throughout the
whole power band...I know the ar's are a lot bigger but i just want to know how
the tbird/300zx/svo/mustang turbo performs...Has anybody used this turbo before?
...if so let me know the details...thanks

sabb turbo is too small, get a super 60 or bigger, im gona be running a sc52 on my ls/vtec stock bottom, there good for 600hp, id get eather a big t3 like the one u stated or a t3/t4 hybrid. there much better for top end, worth the lag. O0

yeah a t3 48/60 would work great, even the 60/63 would be fine, or you could go with the t3/t4 combo.

I'm running a d15 dx with a T3 42/48.

It's indeed too small.

The boost comes @ like... 2500 rpm, but it runs out of breath at 6500rpm.

need a Super 60 man...

I was told yesterday (no mind by who, he knows zip) that my turbo wouldn't SPOOL until 4500. I was like WTF?!?! Are you on crack? I have a .48/.63. It'll be full boost WAY before that. Then seeing boost at 2500 on a .42/.48 mated to a d15??? D series has power to spin nearly anything. ;D

I'd get something better soon, before you put it on, it'll be a bigger hassle once you have it installed.

Re: Is the saab t3 enough?...

i felt the power of the t3/t4 turbo before(installed in my previous project) and man
4 pounds on that sucker felt like my buddies 9 pounds ;D(when full boost is reached)
I could get a pretty good size turbo T3/t4 but im trying to build a turbo kit with a
budget in mind...has anybody used the junkyard turbos like the nissan/tbird/mustang/svo.

Re: Is the saab t3 enough?...

u can pick up t3/t4s for like 180-300 for a decent sized good turbo, just make sure its like a garret or airesarch or somthin like that, none of that xs zy turbo ---- onn ebay. those things just destroye themselves, look for a turbo eather a big t3 or t3/t4, u wont regret it, and the t bird turbos i herd were ok, and people sell them on here for pretty cheap u just have too look.
