s-afc or fmu?
ok heres my question, Iam turboing my car, ,but need info on a fuel setup, I wanna go with a fuel rail, regulater, and DSM 450 injectors, I have a 92 prelude, with peck and hold injectors, I was told I need a S-afc to run the injectors, why? Is the FMU or s-afc better to use in the turbo setup? can any body clear this up for me, thanks alot for any info. later Ray

Re:s-afc or fmu?
what i would do is this:
don't buy a regulator or fmu buy the safc which will take the place of both the regulator and fmu, and if you have them i would sell them, because they would be useless.although im not too sure but i think an fmu could make the fuel curve a bit smoother in boost, but its not needed. the reason you can't run biggar injectors with a regulator and fmu is simple. the injectors were not made for the vehicle and are not recognized by the ecu, so it will flood the hell out of your engine. and the fmu will just flood it more. you will have shitty milage and loose a lot of power on top of that. |
Re:s-afc or fmu?
