ive just got a free rx 7 intercooler from a friend.
who has used it in a turbo honda?
can i see pics on where you put it at if possible?

exactly like the one i got.

its a SMIC, so usually on the passenger side of the engine bay there is room. im not a honda guy, so someone else could prolly give you a better response.

is it ok to mount it vertically? with the bars goin up and down like on the picture? or would it add drag to the airflow?

why dont you be creative and put it where ever you want its not rocket science

you can put it where the A/C radiator goes, putting the short tube of the IC to the turbo and the long one routed to the intake mani

+1 i do like that idea actually. be creative. put it where it fits and works. why be like everyone else? find a spot it fits and stick it there. it dont look that big..

i made a bracket that bolts where the factory airbox bolted to. and the intercooler piping would hold up the other side. works perfect, actually and hood shuts fine on an eg. on an ef it takes a little creative suggestion but works too. the stock U-tube that goes to the air box at the bottom where it U's cut and rotate the right of the U so that it then becomes a ram duct that will loop back around to the bottom of the intercooler.-sorry if that didint make any sense but i tried

i hope you have a hood scoop other wise that intercooler is doing nothing but soaking in heat from the engine

read how i explained to get fresh air to the intercooler without the use of a hood scoop then comment
