Running on Basemap?

I was wondering if I can run the car as DD with a basemap from Phearable.net?
I will be running the car for about 3 weeks before tuning. What do you guys suggest.
Thanks

Re: Running on Basemap?

Sure you can run it, don't beat on it hard and don't boost too high if he didn't put a boost limit on it. Just drive easy. Does your car run ok on the bin?

I'm running FooK's 14b basemap on my car, have been for a few months. I had to richen up the idle and cruise, that ---- was like 20:1. I just say be careful of pimping basemaps too hard, they'll break you down.

i drove on a base map from xenocron, for a little while, needed to take care of some leaks, and what not, so it saw a little boost,.... like everyone is saying, dont rip on it and you should be fine.

i got a basemap from xeno and ran it in the track....---- made it home in one piece....this was a d15 on 10psi. I bet its rich but it held.

Re: Running on Basemap?

I rip on FooK's all the time. According to my wideband I have it rich all over now, and I retarded the dizzy a couple degrees, so I'm not worrying too much.

i'm only running 7psi....and its a .48 a/r turbine. trying not to hit boost is every hard.lol

so, i'm gonna be driving this setup for about 3 weeks before i can get it to the tuner. its safe?

Been done 1000 times. If the map is off pretty bad you will hear it in the motor.

I rock basemaps, and probably always will, and that's about all it takes to get a riceboy killed.. so I'm good.
