Re: rotating my TD04L

So let me get this straight. This is a v-band exhaust housing? You took the clamp off, but you can't get the housing to budge? Maybe if you were more descriptive or took pictures we would be able to help you better.

Don't flame people trying to help you noob. This site doesn't take kindly to noobs anyway, never mind little bitchy ones like you.

Re: rotating my TD04L

i had to hammer both my wrx turbo exhaust housings off. the exhaust housings are vband but the housing tight slips over a part of the center section = they rust together.

take a brass hammer and lightly and evenly hammer the housing off. keep the housing close to a table so it doesn't drop 5 feet.

thats the hmt way

Re: rotating my TD04L

when I did my RHB5, after I got the bolts out of the housing and the two plates off, I hammered the ---- out of it and it didn't budge. I even soaked it in PB blaster, didn't help. Then I just took an acetylene torch (no oxygen) and heated the housing. It practically fell off after expanding from the heat.

Stuck up huh? I'm just trying to save you work by doing it the easy way you retarded ----. Go ahead and hammer till you're blue in the face. If it's rusted on enough it won't budge. A torch is an easy way to get a rusty housing off of a center section. If you don't want to follow my advice, then ---- off.

if it doesn't budge with hammer and lubrication a torch should be your last option. just becareful your don't accidentally ruin your seals. i know the seals can take some heat but im not sure how well they handle direct flame.
