Rotating Compressor Housing

Sorry for the newbish question...but i need to rotate my compressor housing...do i need to remove the (i think its called a C-clamp) to do so and once it is rotated the wastegate cant be bolted back on...should i weld it back in place? (its a DSM TEO4H)

You sure do. Remove the clamp and turn away. It might be a little reluctant to turn but give a few taps form a rubber mallot and it will loosen right up. Depending on how much you turn it will tell if you can still use the wastegate.

those c clamps can be completly taken off and put on wherever you want them to be, therefore being able to put the WG wherever you want to. you may as well take the compressor housing all the way off and clean the piss out of it since you are rotating it anyways.

Can you also rotate a garrett t3 the same way.

I meant that if you turn it too much the wastegate wont bolt up to the brackets anymore so you'd have to make a custom one.
