Default rotating 14b

I need to rotate the compressor housing of my 14b, but the only problem is that when I do so, the center section follows the comp. housing. I heard that if you ---- with the center section, you'd need to have it sent somewhere to rebalance it. Would that be the case if all I was doing was just rotating the compressor housing and not the center section along with it?

Yeah, I looked at that before making this post, that's why the post is here. That thread is for a T3, not a 14b. By posting that were you implying that I could get away with doing the same thing on a 14b and not be worried about having it rebalanced, or were you just being a total piece of ----?

1nce again man, there is a snap ring...Grab some snap ring pliers and compress that ring inwards...At this time you will be alble to remove the compressor cover or just rotate around to wherever you need it to be...It's somewhat of a pain in the ***(the snapring) but YOU CAN DO IT!

You shouldn't need to mess with any snap ring... I loosened the band clamp, broke the little alignment pin off (I think it's on the center exhaust side, I'm not certain it might be on the snap ring side), rotated the chra and intake side and fabbed up a mount for the wg actuator.

I know how it's done, I've read the threads and ---- about it before. I just wanted to know whether or not I'd need to have it rebalanced.

Did you take the shaft out, as in seperated the exhaust blade/shaft from the compressor BLADES

---- have do we need to spell it out for you.

Altering the housing to point in whatever direction does not alter the BALANCE of the CHRA

Thanks man, that's all I was looking for. Was it really that hard to answer my question as I stated it?

As I stated before, I know exactly how it's done, I've read up on it, I've seen many how-to's. I just didn't know if I needed a rebalance afterwards, but now I know. Thank you.

why the hell would there be any question on whether or not it'd have to be rebalanced? The housings don't spin nog.
