The right turbo

Sup, i have a 1990 CRX DX and i am going to swap the stock, worn out d15b2 out for a fresh JDM D15B VTEC. I am trying to find out what turbo would be best for a autox/drag race setup. Should i go with a smaller turbo like a t-25 or should i go with a larger t3(.60/.48)? i know a faster spooling turbo would be better for autox but it would hurt me in the higher rev range when im in a straight line.

No turbo is good for autocross really. But if thats the way you wsnt to go, I'd go small on the turbo so you get a quick spool and broad power band.

true, but wont a faster spooling turbo drop off earlier? I think i would want to be at full boost some where around 3-4k seeing as how its kinda in the middle.

I wouldnt use turbo for autcross, not a custom kit anyways. If you are going to do the kit yourself I would do a T-25 or 14B boosts VERY early and usually with a good setup you can boost to redline.

why is that turbo is not good for auto-x?

You need a small fast spooling turbo for Auto-X. A bigger slower spooling turbo is good for drag racing. Decide which you want to be better at and choose your turbo.
