revving out of gear...

do you see boost whilst revving out of gear? Do you see more when the car is in gear? thanks :D

Re:revving out of gear...

(Speaking from old RSTurbo experience here)

Yes you will see a very small amount of boost outside gear, you need to kick the ---- out of the car to get it though as it isn't under load.
In gear, the car is under load and thus boost.
I guess it's the same concept as crusing along on light throttle. Light throttle = no / little boost, no load, even at 70 mph. Foot down = load = boost.
Hope this helps.
Alex :)

Re:revving out of gear...

my 89 supra won't blow off unless i rev it up and down a few times so that the load from the engine dropping revs will build a slight amount of boost but enough to actuate the bov
