Removal of Turbo

Hello, I search all over HMT, google and Brickboard for this answer. I was wondering if any one could give me information about how to remove a Volvo turbo, whats the process and tools needed. I am looking to remove from either a 240 or a 740 I believe. Any help would be great! :)

A set of tools and a half hour to remove it are great too. seriously just start pulling crap off, you'll figure it out.

anything that doesn't look like its part of the turbo,, pull it off..but don't break it just incase you need it

Re: Removal of Turbo

you have to pull the exhaust manifold off with the turbo connected.
make sure you take a flat head and a hammer to get the locking clips off of the back of the mani.
bring some vice grips or a 12 point socket set for the turbo bolts.
dont forget to take all of the lines.
take the bypass valve on the 700 series. take vacuum tees if you need.
the volvo dp is perfect to use on hondas. just cut to length and turn one of the 90s towards the turbo. pick it up if it's cheap.
good luck.

I came across a Audi at the Junkyard and he did the ultimate. Looked like the just slammed the top of the manifold with a sledge hammer until something broke. Worked I guess as the turbo was gone!
