Default removal of the charcoal can

quaine was talkin about this the other day and he said it wasn't needed in the system so i'd like to reduce some vaccum'ing lag (lol...shitty reasons) to remove it...

anyone feel like drawing up a diagram to which vac lines and ---- get capped, etc?

It is an emission thing but the hassle of removing it and getting it to function correctly without it isn't worth the headache compared to just leaving it the ---- there. That isn't a 50hp gain or anything so why complicate life?

It took me 5 seconds to remove mine. Not quite a headache.

And it gave me a few vacuum nipples to use for BOV's, wastegates, gauges or what have you. And it cleans up the engine bay nicely.

the charcoal soaks up gas vapors from the top of the fuel filler where you put in gasoline. after these vapors are soaked up by the charcoal the engines sucks up the vapors though a vacuume hose into the intake manifold to mix with the incomming air.

nope, the gas vapors will be released through a valve under the gas cap.
