Here's a video:

YouTube - E34 525i 2.8L 685 RWHP on 93 octane and 50:50 Water Meth

My runs were done on 93 octane pump fuel with 50% methanol. I am also running a 100% stock M50 non vanos (variable timing) head with 100% stock non vanos cams. The turbo is a PT76GTS and the 685 RWHP pull is at 28 - 29 psi. We cranked it up to 32 - 34 psi and added some timing to go for a glory run over 700 RWHP but the clutch let go. Remember, the boost is high and the timing is low - this is on pump gas + water/meth after all.

Sorry about the torque - we lost RPM time after time on the dyno and since its an DynoJet its reading horsepower by taking the known mass of the roller and comparing it to acceleration of the roller over time so in this case torque is calculated, and without RPM it won't show - the numbers showing are bogus. I believe 120 MPH is around 5200 RPM which when mathed out yields 638 ft lbs of torque.

This is a step in the right direction. Definitely not where I want to be ultimately, but a step in the right direction. Building another motor for the car (no, this one didn't die, I drove it 70 miles home from the dyno I just want more displacement) this winter and coming out next year to try and crack 900+ on turbo cams, variable timing head, race gas, more boost, and more clutch.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome, been watching your build for a long time. Nice to finally see some numbers on it.

Good looking car & nice numbers man, our readings of a friends 2g Eclispe lost rpm & torque was skewed on a Dynojet like what happened to you. Anyways good luck with the new set up.
