reloc. batt.
I need to replace my battery, so I decided to relocate the new batt. to the trunk. I just got the parts today. Heres the box and the cable. https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c.../IMG_00331.jpg
My interior is already removed so routing the wiring should be painless. |
Re: reloc. batt.
We even have a writeup for that; https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_p...ry_relocation/ :D

Re: reloc. batt.
Don't expect that box to pass tech at the Drag Stip!!! Marine box is not good enough. You'll need a Sealled NHRA Approved box and a Remote Kill Switch. Trust me, I know from experience.

Re: reloc. batt.
I usually go to Raceway Park in NJ, and Im not familiar with NHRA rules. I thought that if you re running under 12's (or 10's not sure) then a roll cage is required and so on and so forth. :1

Re: reloc. batt.
most tracks regardless of times, will require a nhra approved battery box, plus a kill switch for remote mounted batteries.
some tracks don't care, but most do when in tech. |
Re: reloc. batt.
Im glad that Ive learned that before Im @ the track!

Re: reloc. batt.
I keep my battery up front on my drive wheels, where it helps when i launch, rather then in my trunk dragging behind me

Re: reloc. batt.
The 10-15lbs isn't going to make that much of a difference!! If you need weight on your wheels to hold them down, you got to look elsewhere in hookin up!!!
