Default Rebuilding my T3, with pics *Update*

Got a new center section for my smoking T3 assuming the seals were bad. (Thanks Dr Boost ) Took my turbo off in 30 degree weather. I don't want to hear about it's 0 degrees in Canada and that's cold. I had to work in my rock driveway in 30 degrees and that was cold enough for me. It started hailing too Man, bolts can be a bitch when it's real cold out. Took the turbo apart, is the center section bad? I don't freaking no. Popped the new one in by the time I was done it was dark out. We'll find out tommorow how it worked out.

New center section

Just unbolt both housings and they pop right off, 6 bolts on each side I think. It was real easy, I just hope I did it right, assuming there is a wrong way.

it'll work. the only bad thing that can happen is if it wasn't on tight enough. did you use a seal for the compressor housing? if you don't have one. silicone or gasket maker glue will work.

I think I'll toss some RTV in between for the comp housing, what do I torque these bolts to anyway?

the best idea is to get spare gaskets before doing the job

I too would like to know what torque you should tighten the bolts to. Particularly, the nut the holds the compressor wheel on.

My torque was measured by hand, we'll say 25 ft lbs or so.. I got it from Dr Boost for $90.

Got the thing back together, 22 degrees out My battery is dead so I have to wait on jumper cables. Thing hasnt been started in 2 weeks because I left it at home when it started smoking bad. Don't want to pop start it since the turbo needs primed. Here are some pics, what do you think of the return?
