Default Rebuilding ball bearing turbos: Found a company who can do it

So I found a company in of all places australia who can rebuild turbos that have ball bearing CHRAS. The cost is 250bux canadian. Everything I have ever heard on the internets states NO you cant rebuild and if you do its to expensive . So I asked these guys, so what makes you different and why can you do it. I'm awaiting a response, any other questions you guys want me to ask them? Or have any thoughts on the matter? Yes ino you ******* hate BB turbos, but i have one, its dead and its cheaper to rebuild than buy another.

Once i get a result to report with ill let you know how the company fared with the rebiuld, and reliablity ect.

Mitch successfully rebuilt a GT35R he got from Ross... Found the bearings at BOCA bearing.... You can get the parts from garrett... Its really a pain in the *** but it CAN be done.

Balanced what....

The shaft turbine wheel are balanced from the factory... The compressor wheel seperately... It is balanced... Or at least as much as its gettiong for this experiment... Hes got a2-3 thousand miles on it with CONSTANT rapage... ALL good so far, no shaft play still and all seems well...

We measured the bearings, and he got 100 foof them (EXACTLY the same size to the .0001), for 14.00 shipped... The pain in the *** is releasing the inner race... PM BA4TURBO for miore details

The most important thing is that the CHRA is OK,,,, Ross just lost a few of the bearings after dissasembly, so... Mitch bought the snail, pullked it all the way apart... got the BOCA bearings and has been beating the ---- out of it at 540 WHP with no problems

Any diesel/marine shop (thats comprehensive) can balance a turbo or have it done for you....
