Re:ready to rebuild tha Y8

i ordered from cnc-motorsports.com. got rods pistons and rings for 850.00 free shipping. i bought the scat rods first and when i put them in they were hitting the main girdle. i just expected it to hit the cylinder walls. go with the eagles instead of scat. less grinding and clearancing required. now i have eagel rods, srp pistons, and rings. all for 850. good prices. guys are ASSHOLES when it comes to returning stuff so make sure you dont have to.

Re:ready to rebuild tha Y8

so do have to do some grinding for the rods you got?
i was hoping not to get into any of that since this my first rebuild but what the hell....might as well learn now
did you do the rebuild yourself?

shameless plug: i have crower rods (that dont require notching) and srp 9:1 pistons that im loking to get rid of. I paid over 1k for them, and they have about 5k miles on them. Ill let them go for 650. end shameless plug ;)

Re:ready to rebuild tha Y8

i was gonna buy those from him but his pistons are stock bore and i need .20 over. no i didnt do it myself. i paid a machine shop to do it since im investing so much money. if you can works something out with ghettoturbo do it cause not having to notch the block would save some time.
