Default Radiator overflow

The radiator keeps overflowing into the tank at the side of the radiator, is this normal? if i fill the radiator to the top and the fill the tank to the maximum mark i end up with nearly a full tank after i have finished my journey! and the radiator needs topping up!

so i just take the water from the from the tank and just pour it back into the radiator,

Is this normal

Sorry to tell you, but it sounds like a blown head gasket. I ------- hate those. Check the radiator cap first, but it sounds like a head gasket.

no water is disapearing it is just going from the radiator into the tank, if i take the water from the tank and put it back into the radiator there is exactly the same amount of water as when i started!

Its just a pain in the *** to keep putting it back into the radiator!

What makes you say it is the Headgasket Dr.Boost?

And i had the standard radiator cap and it did it and then i bought a spoon sports radiator cap and i did the same with that one as well.

Hmmm...check the oil. That sounds like a head gasket for sure if the cap is good. Any oil in the water that you can see?

Mine does that whenever the car is off the overflow tank gets lower. When the car is on and has warmed up a bit it fills up to the same level it always is. Isnt that just water heating up and expanding?

Oh ----, I missed that. That is normal just as Blind said. I thought you were losing fluid. Haha, you have been taking the fluid from your overflow and putting it back into the radiator! I've done dumber things. Just look at this post. I was trying to tell you to replace your head gasket for no reason.

hehe.. Yeah just fill up coolant whenever the car is warmed and has been driven a bit. Otherwise it goes over the line.

I thikn i have the same problem. I feel my radiator up all the way up. And fill the reservoir tank up with water. The reservoir tank will overflow and eventually the tank will be gone. Is this a sign of blown headgasket?

i don't think your head gasket is bad. i think your waiter temp. sensor is bad. possibel the sensor has a short or an open circuit.
