Quick turbo selection question
 

Aight, im new to forced induction, more of an N/A guy, but anyways. I'm trying to find a turbo that would be ideal for 5-8lbs mainly between 2500-6800rpm. Now i know almost NOTHING about turbo size designations and such so any help is useful. Reason i want to stay lower boost is very simple. I have a newer motor (sub 40k miles) and its stock 10:1 c/r and from what information i've gathered the VR6 is capable of taking 9 or 10 lbs on stock internals and such. That being said, a modest 5-8lbs of boost would give it some nice pep. So what turbo(s) would be ideal for that type of setup (yes intercooled) and also, do any cars come factory with #36 injectors?

i know im still a noob and all and not usually an ass but
"used turbo's can range anywhere from about 80 bucks up to around 200 bucks or more. there are many different sizes, trims, a/r's etc. when looking for a turbo, which turbo is best for your application IS UP TO YOU TO FIND OUT BY 'SEARCHING!'."

Well technically by posting here he is "searching" for info. My suggestion is to start reading and teaching yourself about turbos. If you are planning to do this install yourself you are going to have to know what the heck you are doing. There is a lot more to boosting your car than just picking a turbo. There is a lot to consider.

Here's a link to a turbo calculator I made in Excel for when I was planning my system. It's based on the Garrett tutorial formulas and calculations. Plug in your engine data and it will give you some guidelines for what turbo/specs you will need to reach your goal.

If you know how to search you don't need to post useless post like this guy did.... you can read on website, read books, read magazines, all I did before... When I'll post a thread in the "Forced induction" section, it will be my fully functional setup, no my unbelievable interweb setup that will never exist, or my trouble about boost leak. DAMN, HOW CAN THOSE GUY HELP YOU IF THEY ARE NOT IN FRONT OF YOUR CAR!! You you are too dumb to search and read, you are too dumb to turbocharge! That's all...

And if you don't want more than 5psi, its like... just don't do it... ---- it, just install header and "test pipe" ;) (not true, no good for environment)

I believe that my " jap piece of ----" went and retrieved you a new engine after yours poped at 140,000 on the other side of philly in a snow storm, so, no offense, but you have no ground to make comments about japanese cars being unreliable.
