Quick shots of my new setup

well, i sold most of my old ---- to build up the motor, so it took a little while to get back to being boosted again.Im using a 60 trim, 60/48 t3, a manifold i made,customcoach ic, ic piping from exhaust ---- i got from meineke's dumpster, dsm 450s, smc500, and an adjustable fmu (as soon as it stops snowing)

heres the manifold i made, this was just a test fit

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

drag radials+snow=me on the side of the road, its happened b4. i dont get any traction when its dry either, maybe when it gets warm out. anyone know why i cant post newbieforces pics without doing it with a link? what am i doing wrong?

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

i dont know what you would really call it...mig minus gas (too lazy/poor to get the tank filled), i use a wire-feeder lincoln with flux-cored wire

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

Looks nice. I hate FCAW but if the manifold stays together and doesn't leak, great. How well does the bottom join up to the turbo flange??? IE do you have any shots of the manifold while it was off?

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

no shots of it prior to install, but what do you mean by how well it joins up, the welds? or how the pipes all come together?

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

cool.

turboboy 01-20-2004 08:58 PM

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

umm, off the top of my head:
450s=50
smc500=125
turbo=290
flanges=50?
piping for manifold=about 40
couplers=20?
intercooler=250
oil lines=like 20 bucks (it was a while ago)

that equals 845...add in little fittings, gauges, welding wire, cutoff wheels, etc. it wasnt like i spent that all at once either, i had some of this crap from previous setups

BlinD 01-20-2004 09:01 PM

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

What part of NJ? What exactly is all? and what are you running....

Re:Quick shots of my new setup

what's up with so many people running the turbo facing backwards so it's so far forward? it's made to go the other way! Setup looks good, though.

Good luck.
