QUICK QUESTION ON DSM BOV.........
 

Hey guys...stupid question but......... my girl wanted to know how loud that 1st GEN DSM BOV would be....... I guess she wants hers loud enough to let everyone know shes comming or whatever :S she heard my cousins and filped out. Anyway i promised her if it wasnt loud then i would get her a Gready Type S BOV like my cousins (or might just get a fake one off ebay he he he :P) anyway......... also is the flange the same on a 1st Gen DSM BOV as it is on the Gready Type S BOV or RS BOV??? 9 times out of ten i will be getting her one of those cause if i gotta change up a bunch of crap for a louder BOV she just might have to stick with that one. Is there any other after market BOV that will fit with the DSM flange?? ........... thanks guys.............

The flange is not the same. The ebay knock offs aren't that loud either. At least mine isn't.

I didnt think so.........Is there any other after market BOV that will fit with the DSM flange?

I found that with my dsm bov it all depends on what psi you're running. It' got a decent sound to it at 6 psi even though it had a slight flutter to it, but when i jumped up to 12 it got twice as loud and started to make a really loud chirping sound. Personally i like mine, and it definately turns heads at 12 psi >:D

Theres a writeup somewhere on here or HT. You can drill out the 1g flange to accomidate a type-s. Someone come through with the link

Yeah I pretty much redrilled two holes on my dsm flange to fit my type s. It's not much louder than the dsm, if your GF wants loud she needs the rfl.

u can use the dsm flange but u just need to drill the holes for the greddy BOV thats what i did on my talon....but it works....:)
