Re: quick question...

you could do the ole' adjustable rod trick or a carb spring to help you adjust factory internal wastegates

https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...6395.msg909685

shows and example of the adj. rod and him cutting the gate open and putting a different spring in it..

or just get an exaternal one.. it would be easier

Re: quick question...

the reasons i'm not going external is;

-cost (gonna need 2)
-complexity (piping, etc)

i'm trying to stay simple & clean

i guess i'll have to go experiment in the garage ;)

thanks for the link

Re: quick question...

haha, i must be losing my mind, i went to tinker with the turbos today, & the rods are already threaded from the factory, funny i don't remember seeing that, but hell, it must be over a year since i last looked at these up close

tho i don't think they'll get low enough, i wanna start out at like 4psi

3 psi may be difficult without using external wgs.

Might be your best option, I know that you can get 3.6psi springs for these wgs, but see what you can do with what you've got first. Do you have a thread outlining your plans? I assume you will be twin turboing a malibu :1
if its the one in your avatar, its gonna be sick. :6

well, i'm going to mess around with these & see how low they go, before i do anything else

& yeah, i'm twin turbo'ing the black one, gonna keep it all under the hood, & subtle

should scare the hell out of some of the f-body/stang boys around here once i'm done :)
