Quetions about carbon on the fin's
 
I just received my turbo and it has a small amout of cabon on the fins. how do i clean them. also the cast iron exhaust housing on the turbo has 2 threaded holes on it what are these for.

Spray it with brake cleaner! hehehe that's what Abaz would say anyway :D

the 2 threaded holes were probably for the heatshield.

only way to get them looking new is to glassbead it.

but it doesnt matter it wont affect perfomance so dont waste your time scrubbing them or something.

I got a toothbrush and some carb cleaner. spray and scrub... then i busted out the dremel with a wirewheel attachment and polished it up a bit... cause it was really caked on there.... but unless theres big ass globs of it stuck to the fins... i wouldnt worry about it...

the thread holes, how do i plug them up and can i stick my osensor2 in one of them?

User Randomstrike posted some pictures in the forum "eneral discussion" undertopic"M10 turbo to hf manifold" You'll see the oilreturn line in one picture on the other side is the oil supply line and in betwwen the two are two im guessing 1/2 inch threaded holes.
