Questions on junk T3 turbo I bought....

I was wondering if it was only volvo with the T3's with the circular indentation in the flange. any common solutions to get this to seal up? it's not water cooled. the tag says its a TB03...and the ar on the compressor is a .42 and the exhaulst it's hard to read but it looks more like .63 than .48...is there such a thing as .42 ar on the compressor and .63 on the exhualst? i think thats all im wondering...

you can have a machine shop take down the surface to remove that damn circle. you may have leaking issues using it as is.
it's most likely a .63 on the hot side. you are better off selling the unit. ebay it or post on some of the volvo forums. they would benefit the most.

im using that turbo, i threw a couple fattie welds on your typical T3 flange and it sealed it up pretty good. prolly leaks a little but still boost fine and pulls pretty hard

Cast welding rocks! Make that ---- work. That's the HMT way ;)

are these turbos any good power wise? i had a hf/ls/t25 turbo set up before running 15psi and i will be running this turbo at that same boost setting.

what's up-- I just went to home depot and bought what they called a 'super disk' for my circular sander... spent two hours and sanded that fucker till the indent was gone... then used a flat power sander and did my best to make sure it was flat, then I used some files, and etc, until i thought it was just good enough. Works great.

Good luck...
Matt
