Questions about my setup.*pics*
hey how are yas i have been on the site for awhile and all your guys' help has been great ...alot of reading..
anyhow i am done putting my project together and i have a few questions to ask.
I have : A d16z6 stock internals, airesearch t3 something or other open downpipe, external WG with a 10 psi spring 450 dsm blue tops and crome base map.
just to giva an idea of what i have.
The car works great and i am quite happy with the results for my first build. 1) at about 6000 RPM or alittle b4... it just seems to not pull any more ..is that normal? this is the first car i have ever driven with boost.
2) i have a 10 psi spring in and i have a autometer boost/vac guage and it is reading always in the vac side when i giver' it goes up to 6 psi. ? soo could i be leaking or somewhere ... sounds silly but i put duct tape in places i thought i may be leaking boost.as you can see in th pics.
any way thank you for all the help ...even tho i havent talked to you guys personaly but your info in all the posts have helped me get to where i am!

I hope your oil drain works well. Nice work on mounting the external WG to the HF mani too.
Your boost gauga should read vaccuum at idle and part throttle, that's normal. It'll only go above zero when you're on it and building boost.
Your hesitation at 6K could be due to a small plug gap and your spark being pretty much blown out by the increased pressure. What kind of plugs are you using at what are they gapped at? Try gapping them at .028-.030"

lol yaa its a little thick haha but it does the trick .. ok about the boost guage i kinda figured it was ok...as for the plugs i never set a gap i juat made sure they were atleast open haha and i am using NGK bk7re. was told to go a little colder on the plug.
