Question on Tial WG setup
 

Sorry in advance for the dumb question but i have not found a sure answer yet and i know you guys would be able to answer this. Basically when the guy welded up my manifold he put the Flange to high and the WG looks like it will barely clear the hood w/o a fitting on the top of the tial. I want to use a VBC so my question is does it have to hook up to the top port of the Tial?

And suggestions are appreciated!

Here is my setup as it sits. It dont look to high but basically it should clear w/o the fitting on it but for sure it will hit with the fitting on top.

I just hate to have to cut and re-weld for just a small amount of room and its already been coated so i would have to strip it again. Thanks!

i cant see the pics, but i mean that fitting on the top isnt that high.. im confused here.

it isnt the WG's fault, cut the pipe to the WG if u can, or mabey slice out a little hood webbing and weld in some new??

Sorry guys dont know whats up with imagestation this is the first time i have had a problem with it. But i send you pictures via email to show you what i mean. Id rather figure this out now while i have the time than this spring when i drop the engine in and want it done. I was planning on using a manual boost controller like Turbonetics sells but i believe that needs to connect to the top port. But i figured i would ask how the side port works and if i can use this to avoid re-working my manifold.

The pictures seem to be working hopefully imagestation dont have any other problems.

Someone on Honda-Tech said the top is only used for a EBC and the side you hook to a vac source or turbo housing or the turbo inlet? I still have not had a definate answer and surprisingly i cant find anything on the web.
