question axles

Im assuming some of the members here are running 200hp or more to the wheels. My question is, with the setup you all are running, what modifications, if any, have you all done to the axles? If your running stock, how much Hp is allowed? is there any reason to buy aftermarket if one's goal is to reach at least 250 to the wheels?

I am making over 200whp and last time I was at the track I was launching at 6-7k rpms on slicks without problems. I have broken 2 axles, but it was my fault (I had the wheel at full lock while at WOT bouncing off the rev limiter). As long as you keep your wheels straight you should be fine.

plenty of auto parts stores offer lifetime warrantied half shafts for $50 each.

They are the weakest link in all FWD cars.
