Question about wastegate (internal)& A/F gauge
i have to quick questions....
do i have to connect the nipple of the wastegate (internal 14b) to a vacuum source (no longer have the nipple on my J-pipe so i need to Tee it off the BOV if i need to)?
and for the A/f gauge do i have to have the oxygen sensor completely hooked up (meaning to the terminal) or can i just put it the o2sensor and run the white wire to the gauge without having to hook it up to send signals to the ecu?
thanks.

Re:Question about wastegate (internal)& A/F gauge
the wastegate needs boost.I had mine hookd up to a "T" on the hose for the pvc valve on my z6 mani.I wouldnt "T" it with annything else.
The a/f guage just splices into the o2 sensor wires. If you disconnect the 02 sensor so the ecu wont see it you will get a code.

Re:Question about wastegate (internal)& A/F gauge
Maybe you should rephrase your questions to get some answers?
1) I wonder if it matters since my boost gauge reads off the FPR vaccuum line... Maybe the housing is the most reliable?
2) Why don't you just wire your A/F gauge to the ECU? Or do you not have an 02 sensor hooked up?

the o2's not hooked up, i just want to know if i can run the a/f gauge to the o2 sensor without having it hooked up to the ecu.
and yes i kow it will run a code...lol
its been unhooked for 2 years now

Re:Question about wastegate (internal)& A/F gauge
also, are u sure i can run the wastegate to a Tee to the pvc valve?
someone else here told me its ok to tee it to anywhere before the manifold, BOV, Vacuum Line, etc.
they say its suppose to be run to the compressor side of the turbo, and being tho i have a 14b i had to use the J-pipe adaptor but i had to cut of the nipple on my j-pipe adaptor to run my set up.
o and the o2, im buying a new one today, think the old ones bad, well dont think, know, it ran a code 43 when i had it connected and it cause the ecu to raise my fuel pressure.
thats why i had it unhooked

Well thats the way I had mine and it worked .

Re:Question about wastegate (internal)& A/F gauge
Whoever told you that is an idiot. It's almost impossible for an o2 sensor... or any sensor to just "not provide the right signal." The o2 sensor just sends a voltage reading to the ecu. There's nothing inside of it that would "mess up." Carbon could build up and give an incorrect signal, but the o2 sensor itself either works or it doesn't.
