question about my LS head..need help

i bought an ls head from a member..had a little work done..but he said the valves need to be seated because well heres what he wrote:

i got it from a guy and he said that the vavles need to be seated so i told him get them seated and i will buy the head so he said it was done put the motor together and low compression so took it apart could see were it was wet around the some of the vavles but i just think they need to be seated i have no more use for the head im doing a b16 but the head is p&p 3 ang vavles job new vavle seals and guides lmk tahnsk

now i poured a bit of denatured alchohol in the ports..and a small amount leaked from the valves..now after reading around i figured that the valves will seat on their own and ill just have to drive around and let them seat...anyone else have any advice..answers etc?

thanks

i obviously suck at reading as i thought this was the hybrid forum...mods move this if you must

If the keepers are already in then you ave bent valves or improper ground valve seats or both

I have done some ghetto has ---- in my day and no matter what if the seat isnt damaged or the valve isnt bent that ---- will seal tiiiter than oczc.

Valves will seat when installed if there isnt any major issues. Lapping is to help with this issue but you can get way without using it done it alot and the valves always seat. Just used a little sandpaper to clean the valve steam wd-40 in the guide and bam valve is donr
