question about Holset HY-35 as a replacement for T3/T04E
sup nogs? I'm faced with the leaking turbine seal on my garrett t3/t04e 57 trim .60/.63, and I was wondering if the HY-35 would be a good replacement as far as fitment goes.. I run my compressor on the passenger side to allow the A/C compressor more room, and the down pipe is a 5 bolt flange with a tight squeeze between the A/C compressor as well. Should I just rebuild the garrett or try the HY-35?
the only reason i'm not jumping into a rebuild is the lack of tutorial/write-ups on rebuilding.. I can't take it apart and be stuck without a car for more than a few days.. do you guys have any info on step-by-step rebuilds ? any help would be greatly appreciated from any aspect of this. |

no way you will fit it in there with that orientation... need to flip so the comp. is on the drivers side.... a/c will have to go... there is no way that the 3.5 in exhaust outlet will allow to keep a/c... good choice though running a similar he351cw on my d16z6.... pretty much the hy35 with a hx40 compressor wheel
