question?

what is an alternative to using a fmu since i heard it is a poor choice.
i want to run about 3.5-6 psi max. i have a 99 civic ex . wat is the best and easiest way of suppling enough gas for the a/f ratio ? i dont have alot of money somewhere around $50-100 and my car is obd2 i dont really want to mess with the ecu.
also do i need to change my ignition timing and what is the easiest, cheapest most reliable way?
thank you for any answers.. if i sound like a newb im sorry im just trieing to learn ...

Re: question?

in my opinion fmu's are fine...that is if u need to get ur project running...some
kind of fuel management(mechanical or electrical) is better than nothing...if budget
is a problem then i would recommend the fmu...that is until u have money for
a piggy back system or standalone...a fmu should get u started but i wouldn't
recommend u racing or gunning the car too much like around every corner/straight
or all motor car u come across...the disc in the fmu can seize up and bye bye to ur motor...
a couple of my friends just completed their custom homemade turbo kits and all their
running on is the fmu...no problemswith their cars...but they do want to get some type
of piggy back like hondata or urberdata...apexi safc is fine too...o yea u will need to retard ur timing if ur
going to use the fmu...not much though maybe 1-2 deg...i recommend using colder plugs...
hope this helps...
