Q on HomeMade Mazda Turbo

Q on HomeMade Mazda Turbo
I have a 93 Mazda Mx-6. I was wondering what I would need to give it some boost. I have heard of people getting full turbo setups by going to Junk Yards, etc and getting the complete boost for about $300. I was wondering if this was possible for my car. If it is, could you guys give me some prices and point me in the right direction?

Not to be a DICK but you cant just come on here and ask what you need and how much will it cost. This is'nt Kragen auto parts. You need to do some research. Most people here own Hondas so good luck finding someone who has done a turbo kit for an MX6.

The Mx6 came Turbo only to the 92 model, the 93 is a different body and engine. So you cannot just go and find an mx6 and take out the turbo and put it in yours. If you check the different setups here on how a turbo system works, you'll find out most of the thing you need to know. The main thing is finding the manifold for your car, most the other parts are possible to get on a Junkyard. But most likely not for $300 total. A manifold alone might cost you that, we Honda guys are lucky to be able to use an old exhaust manifold as a tubo manifol but most people can't. Something you might be able to do is cut your stock manifold and weld some type of flange for a turbo to bolt on. But as some people here will tell you welding to cast iron is not easy. Find someone that makes a kit for your car and then try to copy what they use all the parts for your setup.
