you cant just drill a hole in the PCV valve, it has the little ball inside it for a reason.

The valve has a ball and spring inside. You can use a knife or hacksaw and cut off about 1-2 mm off the PCV valve and take out the ball and spring. This is what I did for my turbo setup and it works like a charm. Search the FAQ and you'll see a couple illustrations about this modification.

Its a PCV (Positive Crank Vent) not PVC (plastic toilet plumbing).
Some people use a slash cut exhaust evac method to draw vacuum from the crank to expel blow-by. The reason people disconnect the PCV ( or use a catch can ), is to allow the crank to breathe, and having it connected to the IM the crank would be under boost which can damage the bottom of the engine. |
