Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
the big question is, will the RHB5 be too big for the motor to spool? I never thought of running that much boost into a Banshee but these guys are doing it on stock cylinders and using the carbs.
Also where can I find an electric oil pump that will flow like 25 psi?
I'm ------- pumped about this project. We clocked this Banshee the way it sits at 107mph. I can't imagine riding this thing with 20 pounds of boost. I'm going to be in heaven...12 second Integra, Twin Turbo Civic and a Turbo Banshee. What more could you want?

I remember someone on this board used a pump from a windshield washer sprayer for the oil feed on their boosted Honda. He said it produced plenty of pressure and it worked fine. I couldn't believe it. I'm not sure if he posted pics of it. I wouldn't think those cheap *** little pumps would handle the heat of the oil. I guess if it has a completely seperate oil system just for the turbo it wouldn't get too hot?

Re:Project Turbo Yamaha Banshee
I hope its fine, I'll find out this weekend if the thing gets here by Friday. EastCoast ATV said that they couldn't put enough of a load on their turbo Banshee. The kept regearing it and every time they did, the turbo just hit alot harder when it spooled so the topend is going to be insane.
We did 107mph on the street with a 14 tooth front sprocket and 85mph in the dirt. (Radar gun) It now has a 15 tooth sproket so it'll probably top 110.

To answer the question about 18 psi outta those little turbos, you gotta realiize that its feeding an extremly small motor. PSI is the amount of air that the motor CAN"T TAKE. CFM is the true way turbos should be measuered..
I gotta say those turbo quads are pretty impressive.

Do you know the A/R's for the RHB5??
Since this is a 2 stroke motor it has twice the amount of exhaust pulses as a 4 stroke so it should be equivalent to a 700cc 4 stroke motor.
Construction starts next weekend or maybe sooner, its finals week soon so I can't do anything till after that, but pictures of course
