Default Problems with Injector clips not snapping on the 450s...

ok on all the writeups i've seen, i've followed their every word (an exercised the search feature on here). I got the 450's on and the fuel rail back on, did the soldering of the resistors, but never saw anyone having any problems with the clips not fitting properly on the 450's.... so i'm basically all ready to go. except...

the clips don't want to go on the injectors! i checked visually and the injectors are 2-pronged and the clips are 2-holed.... what am i missing? the how-to's didn't say anything about clip problems or fitment adjustments. can you help?

these are DSM blue-tops, BTW, on my d15b vtec. thanks a bunch!

theres a small piece inside the injector that needs to be trimmed with a razor.

it is a nub on the top wall of the plug.

youll see it. stop being so goddamn helpless. its common sense to see they wont go over the nub.

speaking of injectors, i bought tuner toys 450's, and let me tell you how shitty the fit was for the wiring clips. I totally hacked the stock clips and still couldnt' get it to fit. I finally had to crimp female disconnects onto every wire and carefully attach them to the injectors. I'd like to change that soon but i need to find some sort of wiring clip that will fit these ------- things. I was kind of disappointed since i was under the impression that they were a plug and play affair.

obd1 clips fit perfect too. you just have to trim that little thing on the inside of the injector

found in tech projects
