Default Problem I hoped never to run into

I have been slowly but surely learning and picking up parts to get my turbo project done. I thought I would sit in on a friend of mines turbo install and he ran into a problem. The turbo hits the block. Its a mopar style t3 with an HF manifold. We event ried an SSAUTOSHIT manifold and still wont fit. the block was shaved a bit an still nothing. I know this has had to happen to someone else. can someone point me in the right direction? I did do a search to no avail.

an ssauto ---- mani puts the turbo a foot and half away from the block. I cant imagine his turbo is hitting. that thing would have to be ------- HUGE!

BMC makes a HF mani adapter that is offset so your wastegate wont hit the block but your turbo hitting the block? Damn, what size is it. and if its a huge *** heavy turbo take that SSautoSHIT off before it breaks that mani.

i had the same problem with my gsr first try notching the block and clocking the turbo as much as you safely can. if that doesnt work try desperate measures of machining out the holes on the exhaust side t3 flange to offset the turbo on an angle or go with an adapter that will offset it thats what i did i even took some meat out of my freeze plug to fit that biznatch. if none of that works use a stick of dynamite to blow it up claim insurance and start over again

where exactly is it hitting the block on the turbo? Maybe you could switch housings or somthing depending on where it hits? Its not the wastegate actuator hitting is it?
